Description of What Organisation Does:
Meet once a month and invite a guest speaker on a variety of topics,
have a demonstration of a visiting institute, individual, or group.
Aims: We don't just "bake cakes"!!
Although our association is world renowned for
members' skills in all kinds of cookery, baking and crafts. We
discuss modern issues which cover local, regional and national areas
and are able to vote on these at our national conference each year.
Peathill Institute was formed in 1929 and actually met at Peathill
for many years.
Two years ago we celebrated our 75th birthday with a party at the
Bay Hotel, Rosehearty.
We support many activities such as sport, crafts, bowling, golf,
drama, debating and public speaking.
We can even teach you how to build a “Dry-stane dyke if that’s what
you want to do.
New members will be made most welcome and more information can be

The Banff and Buchan Group held it's Annual Show
at Strichen on the 17th March 2007.
Peathill gained some very good marks in the group section and won
two second prizes in the open sections.
